Professional Development Seminars - The Science of Islamic Character

Helping students embody the beautiful character of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) needs a well-developed theory of Islamic character. It is not enough to simply tell students to follow rules nor to simply respect their teachers.
This seminar will introduce teachers to an Islamic science called 'ilm al-akhlaq, or "the science of character". They will learn how our scholars returned all of the beautiful character traits of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) to the moderation of three faculties of the human soul, and how all beautiful character traits can be returned to the cardinal virtues of bravery, temperance, wisdom, and integrity.
